#AADFW Field Trip: Inside the American Airlines Flight Crew Lounge at DFW Terminal D

IMG_7722

Have you ever wondered what it looks like behind the “Do Not Enter – Authorized Personnel Only” door of a flight crew lounge?

Last week the @AmericanAir social team invited some of their most active and engaged Facebook fans to DFW for a behind the scenes look at their operations. It was like the ultimate #avgeek field trip and @AmericanAir team was kind enough to invite me along.

The tour included a look at American’s newly remodeled Terminal A gates, a visit to their operations control tower, a chance to go deep down into the underbelly of the airport to see how the baggage system works, and a chance to meet with AA’s Chief Pilot, with flight attendants, and lunch with members of the @AmericanAir Twitter team!

With any visit to DFW Terminal D it’s hard not to notice the forbidding entrance to the crew lounge. If you’re like me, then you’re probably curious about what it looks like back behind the door. Wonder no more, here are some photos of the AA crew lounge!
