Video Tour: American Airlines refreshed 767-300
American is in the process of ‘refreshing’ their international 767-300 widebody fleet. These upgraded 767s will feature fully lie-flat seats in a 2 class cabin configuration. The details:
American intends to retrofit up to half of its existing 767-300ER aircraft. Those that are redesigned will operate with the new configuration with fully lie-flat Business Class Seats and all-aisle access. The remaining 767-300ERs will be retired over time.
Customers will enjoy an enhanced onboard experience with the installation of up to 28 fully lie-flat Business Class seats, each with aisle access.
- The Business Class seats will offer individual tray tables with a work surface, and universal AC power outlets. Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 devices will continue to be available for customers seated in Business Class, offering access to a wide variety of movies, television programs and audio selections.
- The retrofitted 767-300ERs will also feature 14 Main Cabin Extra seats with four to six inches more leg room than a standard Main Cabin seat. The Main Cabin of the retrofitted 767-300ERs will have 167 seats.

WoW. Looks like Delta’s seats only better! (Will the food be any better)?
This is just regular staggered J. Why does everyone get so excited? It is certainly an improvement, but by no means special.
I was very happy to discover this site. I wanted to thank you for ones time
due to this fantastic read!! I definitely really liked every bit
of it and i also have you book marked to check out new things in your
site.
Does the Madrid-Miami Route have this retrofitted plane? I know that is a 767-300 route
So is there no coach update? If these 763s are staying a while, why not update coach seats to current and why not add proper AVOD? These are long-distance aircraft.
@ George – I completely agree. Imagine being in coach on a 9 hour westbound flight from Europe with no Wi-Fi and nothing to watch except the small screen hanging down from the ceiling. Ouch!
