Fridays are typically slow days for AAdvantage news and offers, but not today.  American just launched a new sweepstakes with a grand prize of 200,000 AAdvantage Miles.

In May, American launched the “Pack for the Win” sweepstakes to promote The Bourne Legacy, a new movie which is scheduled to be released next month.  That promotion just ended, but now we have another with the  “AAdvantage Bourne Sweepstakes”:

Are you ready to be trained by real-life operatives of the American Airlines AAdvantage program?

Resourceful. Calculating. Ruthlessly efficient. Our top AAdvantage members (aka “Operatives”) stand ready to share secrets of The Program across different categories.

Complete your training to unlock special rewards and earn a chance to win a grand prize custom vacation package – plus gain access to behind-the-scenes footage!

Here’s a breakdown of the prize (ARV $6,555):

200,000 AAdvantage miles
Six nights hotel from Hilton HHonors
Seven days’ car rental from Avis & Budget Group anywhere in the U.S.
$750 for a shopping spree
$500 dining gift card from the AAdvantage Dining program

Part of the movie was filmed onboard an American Airlines plane. After you complete four easy tasks to enter, you’ll be able to watch a short behind the scenes video of the movie being filmed onboard an American Airlines 777.

The sweepstakes ends August 31, 2012.  Go here to enter.  Good luck!

Note: Keep an eye on the American Airlines Facebook page. Not sure of the details yet, but they mentioned last night that they’re taking deliver of a new 737 today and that there will be some kind of scavenger hunt promotion with a chance to win some AAdvantage Miles.  Update: It’s a Facebook scavenger hunt.  You can play for a chance to win 50,000 AAdvantage Miles!!

    1. @ Cheryle – I agree! Even after all these years, it still feels like magic when the plane lifts off the runway. 🙂
