Give some advice for a chance to win up to 7,500 free AAdvantage Miles

Good morning. Travel, and some technical difficulties at Boarding Area, conspired to keep me away from updating for a few days, but I’m back home and back to the blog.

Reader Giveaway Results:

Last Wednesday, I shared the seating dilemma I was facing, when I had to choose between a middle seat on an exit-row, or a non exit-row aisle seat. I asked readers to weigh in with their advice for a chance to enter a random drawing to give away an @AmericanAir USB Card with free Gogo Wifi code.

Congratulations to mangoMan! His comment, “Aisle. Sometimes exit rows suffer from a shorter seat base than regular seats and I find this particularly uncomfortable.” was randomly selected to win the AA USB card and wifi code.

Thanks to everyone for all the comments, I decided to take the aisle seat, something that 41 out of 58 readers said that they would do too. I got really lucky, the middle seat on my aisle stayed empty, so the window seat passenger and I were able enjoy the extra elbow room and extra storage space.

    • @ Marilynn – That’s a great suggestion and thanks for sharing! Make sure you also share it at The Frugal Travel Guy and so you can win some miles!

  1. If you are planning to use AA miles for a ticket on a One World carrier, secure the ticket fairly soon in case AA merges with another airline and leaves that system to join Star Alliance.

  2. Earn 25,000 AAdvantage® Bonus Miles with DIRECTV! Sign up by July 31, 2012. That’s a pretty easy way to get some AA miles

  3. Only 40,000 miles roundtrip for a MileSAAver Off-peak coach ticket to Brazil. Amazing food, scenery, and people for a really low redemption price. Enjoy!

    • @ Joel – I don’t have a crystal ball, but I think that whatever the future may hold for AA, you’ll still be able to use your AAdvantage Miles to take you to any place currently served by a oneworld carrier. I don’t know much though about the Star Alliance though, is there a reason you prefer oneworld? Thanks for commenting!

@ Noah – I do too. I just wish I could come up with more excuses to take advantage of the double elite miles and double AAdvantage miles offer from DFW to LAX!

@ Jamison – That’s a big bargain and great advice for any AAdvantage Executive Platinum. Now I’m jealous of you for two reasons: your EXP discount and the W Hotel suite you stayed in over the weekend (saw the twitpic🙂

@ worldtraveller2 – Thanks for mentioning the 25,000 AAdvantage Miles offer from DIRECTV. That’s enough miles for a round-trip domestic ticket!

@ kevin – You make me want to go! Have you ever been?

      Appreciate the comments!
