Win 500,000 AAdvantage Miles and Five Star Service from American Airlines

Last year, American introduced their Five Star Service, a special, one-on-one travel assistance program at JFK and LAX to help you through check-in, speed you through security, and help smooth any turbulence that you might encounter when traveling.

In addition to Admirals Club access, Five Star Service includes:

Your personal representative will:
Meet you at curbside or arrival gate
Assist you at baggage and check-in
Expedite your way through security
Escort you through Customs and Immigration for international flights
Proactively monitor your flights

Over the last several months, they’s expanded the number of cities where they offer this VIP travel assistance to include: Boston; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Chicago (O’Hare); Dallas Fort Worth; London (Heathrow), England; Los Angeles; Miami; Milan, Italy; New York (Kennedy); New York (LaGuardia); San Francisco; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Tokyo (Narita), Japan; and Washington, D.C. (Reagan).

Now they’re offering a sweepstakes to promote it:

Now you can experience the type of VIP treatment at the airport once reserved for celebrities with Five Star Service from American Airlines. Offering personal, one-on-one assistance that’s guaranteed to help your airport experience go smoothly – Five Star Service is the smart way to get through the airport.

I’ve not tried this service myself, but Marshall Jackson writes on his blog about his experience when he purchased it for his mother:

I think this was probably the best $125 dollars I’ve spent in a while, and I’d do it again in the same situation in a heartbeat. Consider AA’s Five Star Service to be stamped with the MJ on Travel seal of approval.

  1. Five Star service has been around since ’08, perhaps even prior. When traveling with the family, this service is extremely helpful. Also HSBC sponsors free use of the service typically at the holidays.

    1. You’re right, JFK and LAX have had it for some time now. Thanks for the HSBC tip, is that limited to employees or is it something that make available to some of their customers?
