(Editor’s note:  Don’t forget to visit the AAdvantage 30th Anniversary Daily Deal site for a chance to win 30,000 AAdvantage Miles.  Today’s deal is 3,000 AAdvantage bonus miles and receive 6 wines for only $6.99 a bottle when you join American Cellars Wine Club.)

Two important offers are set to expire: one of them in just a few hours.

Yesterday, American Airlines introduced their app for the Barnes & Noble’s NOOK Color Reader’s Table., and today is your last chance to win one, or better yet 1 Million AAdvantage Miles, in the Mobile Million sweepstakes.

The new American Airlines app for Android has arrived. And to celebrate, we’re giving you a chance to win ONE MILLION American Airlines AAdvantage miles – plus, we’re giving away a Barnes & Noble NOOK Color a day for 30 days.

To enter from you Android device, just install and launch the app. If you don’t have an Android, just go here to enter.

Hurry though, time is short and the water rises. From the Mobile Millions site:

All entries must be received by 11:59 a.m. CDT on April 28, 2011.

There also another, slightly less imminent, deadline approaching: If you’re seeking to maintain or renew your 2010 AAdvantage Elite Status for another year, you must do so by April 30, 2011.

Having AAdvantage Platinum or AAdvantage Gold status offers special benefits that can make all the difference to frequent travelers when they fly. To help make sure loyal elite status members don’t miss out on another year of valuable benefits, American Airlines is offering a special opportunity for members who do not requalify for 2011.

Enjoy another full year of elite status by renewing your AAdvantage Platinum or AAdvantage Gold membership for a one-time charge, extending your status through February 29, 2012.

I’ve written about it before, but last year I traveled less than I had in previous years so I dropped a level to AAdvantage Gold. Now that I’m competing against Platinum and Executive Platinum members, I’ve missed out on some upgrades, especially on routes to California and New York, but I still get to most of the other benefits (the most important being the free checked luggage).

I do miss riding up front all the time, but I think I’d really miss the nearly $700 it would cost for me to renew my 2010 status.  You may feel differently though, especially if you’ve completely lost your AAdvantage Elite status, so it might be worth renewing.  Just do it soon, April 30 is almost here.

Go here to renew your status, or for prices and more information.
