American has been aggressively promoting this new route, this bonus offer is in addition to some steeply discounted fares that they’re already offering to Lima. Both economy and business class fares are half what they were from Dallas this time last year: Business Class for $1,324 and Economy for $724.

The DFW to Lima segment earns 6,714 miles, round-trip.   1. @ Grant – According to the fine print, with this offer you actually earn the bonus with each qualifying segment (so a one-way DFW to LIM trip qualifies for half the bonus amount).

  2. If coming from ORD, could I book the ORD-LIM that has a connection in DFW, or would I need to book the ORD-DFW, & DFW-LIM on a seperate ticket to make sure it would qualify for the bonus?
