Fare Alert: Fly to Finland for $553 to $691. Earn 100% AAdvantage and Elite Miles!
(Update: Bad news from The Flight Deal in the comments section (see below)…perhaps Joint Business Agreement pricing has kicked in – Finnair’s fares are now $200 – $250 more, which brings them in line with the prices charged by the other JBA carriers.)
Finnair will enter into the Joint Business Agreement between American, British Airways, and Iberia starting July 2, and as Gary explains, there isn’t an immediate benefit to customers, but there is one upside – a crazy cheap fare sale between several U.S cities and Helsinki!
Here’s a sample of some the of cheap fares that The Flight Deal found from these cities:
• New York – $553
• Boston – $574
• Dallas – $665
• Los Angeles – $691
That’s just a few of the cities, several more are included!
Some good news for mileage runners: these Finnair fares book into O inventory, so they’ll earn 100% redeemable AAdvantage Miles and 100% Elite Qualifying Miles!

Thanks for the mention – the deal is now gone.
@ The Flight Deal – Wow, that was fast. 🙁 Thanks for the update!
JBA definitely has kicked in. JFK-BCN which was $696 yesterday is now close to $900 on AY – comparable to IB/BA/AA.
There goes the cheap R fares to EU. Sad day for cheap EQP.
