DFW Terminal A Admirals Club – The ‘Secret’ Room
My favorite Admirals Club at DFW is in Terminal A., and one of the reasons is because it offers a ‘secret’ room. Well actually it’s not a secret, but so few people notice it (or even know about it) that it might as well be a secret.
Before Terminal D opened in 2005, Terminal A was the international terminal. Because of this, the Terminal A Admirals Club offers more amenities than a typical club, it’s much larger (it almost never gets crowded), it has some of the best shower facilites, and it even features a fitness center.
At one time it also included a Flagship Lounge for international First Class passengers. Sadly, the Flagship Lounge was decommissioned a few years ago, but the space is still there and it’s open to anyone. Since few people know about it, it’s never crowded and offers a lot of privacy.
It’s tucked away from the rest of the club, and if you don’t know to look for it you’ll probably never even see it. Here’s how to find it.
The Admirals Club is located across from gate A24. When you enter, you’ll be greeted by someone at the reception desk. After you check-in you go up the elevator to enter the lounge.
When you exit the elevator you’ll see the Admirals Club AAngels right in front of you at the reservations desk. Look to your immediate left (and nearly behind you), you’ll see a door just to the left of the stairwell. Go in through that door to find the ‘secret room’ that was the former Flagship Lounge.
There’s a small bathroom and a conference room, and other than that, there isn’t anything remarkable about the area. You will, however, likely have the whole room to yourself. Here’s a look.
If you’re interested in seeing the rest of the Terminal A Admirals Club, including the workout room and the Business Center, the Weekly Flyer has a photo tour. Go here to check it out.

Go here to enter. Good luck!
if you’re coming to Delhi, (not Dehli!), let me know, I’ll fly in to show you around! 🙂
Shhhh! That room is a secret…that I must have missed because I went straight for the bar 🙂
I love the fitness center. Nothng like getting off of a longhaul international flight, breaking a sweat and then taking a nice shower before your connecting flight.
@ AJ – Oops! Corrected – my fingers have dyslexia:-) If I make it to Delhi, I’m visiting Mumbai too and definitely call you on you!
@ The Weekly Flyer – LOL, no bar = wasted space!
@ I haven’t used the fitness center but I have used the showers. Love the rainfall showerheads!
You gave away my hiding spot!!
Ohh well .. was there on Tuesday and would have loved to check it out because the whole lounge was crowded.
At least you didn’t spill the beans about the best showers ever…DOH!
the “walter henry hagan” admirals club, Dolly Parton wrote a song about this fine gentleman as they were close friends
thanks for leaving this comment. he was my grandfather, and he loved his job…60+ years in the airline biz. recruited by C.R. Smith himself when he was stationed in Marakesh during the war. Dolly was a frequent dinner guest, and one of the funniest women on the planet. Every time I walk into the WHH Admirals Club I get a knot in my throat. He was my Papaw, but he meant a lot to a lot of people.
shhh that’s my nap spot!
@ Mich – it’s great spot for a nap! 🙂
