@ John777 – That’s right. It’s to replace the one that expired at the end of May.
Is this basically an extension of the previous LGA-DFW DEQM offer?
After reading your post, I was able to register for this promo online (but have no idea if I ever received a targeted email.)
Am I really registered?…..or is AA.com similar to UA.com where your registration is accepted but unless you were actually targeted, no credit is awarded?
@ bk3day – It’s similar to UA in that anyone can register for an offer and even receive an email confirming registration, but they validate each registration and only give out the bonus to AAdvantage numbers on their targeted list.
I signed up and made a few flights to LGA but didn’t get the bonus elite miles. Later on I asked American about it and they explained that their system will only award the miles if the traveler is on the targeted list.
