Win a Round the Word Trip with 380,000 AAdvantage Miles and $10,000!

Last month American and Disney announced that they were collaborating on the studio’s soon to be released animated film “Planes“.  The movie opens August 9 and one of the characters is Tripp, an American Airlines 777-300ER.

There’s even an  exclusive American Airlines version of the trailer, and  passengers will get a chance to see the preview on board most American Airlines flights.  Here’s a look at it.

American is also promoting their  Disney partnership with a new sweepstakes that offers the winner a chance to travel with two friends on a Round the World trip:

American Airlines AAdvantage miles redeemable on American Airlines and British Airways . The winner and three friends will enjoy an inspiring trip from the winner’s home to New York to London, to Tokyo to Los Angeles and then back home. The winner will also receive a $10,000 gift card that can be used to indulge in fabulous shopping, fine dining and hotel accommodations.

You enter by visiting this promotion site and playing an arcade styles game which lets you navigate a plane in order to finds prizes hidden in the sky. It’s really easy – there’s even an autopilot if you’re not interested id playing.

Total ARV (winner pays taxes): $17,562.

  1. $7562 cost for 380k miles… sheesh. Glad that you can use those for two biz class 25k One World Awards and get more than 2cents a mile in value out of it that the taxes cost! Still, you can buy miles cheaper quite often it seems than the taxed rate here. Don’t want to win….

  2. Agree with Curtis here, don’t really want to win. Although if the $10k is just a prepaid gift card you could probably find a way to liquidate it and pay for the taxes.
