  1. It didnt ask for the AAAdvantage number when I submitted my answers. Any clue, how they will track the responses? Or did I miss something?

    1. Hi Vinay,

After a player clicks “Like” the contest but before they watch the first video Facebook displays this message:

Commercial Scavenger Hunt is requesting permission to do the following:
      • Access my basic information – Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I’ve made public.
      • Send me email – Commercial Scavenger Hunt may email me directly
      • Post to Facebook as me -Commercial Scavenger Hunt may post status messages, notes, photos, and videos on my behalf

I can’t say for certain, but I suspect that since American is asking to access the player’s profile information from Facebook, that they’ll be able to contact the winner directly through Facebook or through the email address listed in the player’s profile.

Someone posted a comment on American’s Facebook page asking how they would award the 100 AAdvantage miles that each player is supposed to receive just for entering. Their answer was “we’ll send a code to your email address. Thanks!”.

I played and it didn’t even occur to me till you brought it up that I didn’t have to provide my AAdvantage number. Thanks for bringing the subject up!

    3. How is the Mom actually communicating with her daughter?

Chatting on a laptop via WiFI on a AA plane?

    1. That sounds about right. My answers were:

      1. Name the size, color and type of animal mentioned in this commercial.
      > Big, green, frog
      2. What sounds seem out-of-place in the living room?
      >Captain announcement and fasten seatbelt “ding”
      3. How is the Mom actually communicating with her daughter?
      >Using instant messenger over inflight wifi.
      Good luck!

    1. Hi Jenna,

I double checked the question (I had to look closely at the above screenshot to be sure) but the question was “What sound seems out-of-place in the living room”. Still the question is a little vague though and since they ask for the out-of-place sound rather than sounds, I wasn’t sure if they meant the captain’s announcement or the “ding”, so I answered both.

      Thanks for the comment!
