Just a short post this afternoon to share a few items I found in the forums and I thought you might find interesting. For the record, these are just forum posts, not anything official or confirmed, but I’m posting them here mostly for your entertainment.

Yesterday, I linked to this item in my Twitter feed about American offering pajamas and turn down service to first class passengers on some of their trans-Atlantic flights.  Even if you don’t follow my Twitter feed, you may have read about it over at One Mile at a Time, where there’s also some interesting and funny comments.

Also, came across this item over at the AAdvantage section of the Traveling Better forum that was posted by JonNYC, a highly regarded, founding member of the forum: Complimentary First Class upgrades on some American Eagle flights.

There even a link to this page at AA.com which would seem to support it, though there’s some question as to whether or not this is a targeted offer:

Special Offer – Complimentary Upgrades

Starting August 4 through August 31, AAdvantage elite status members, including AAdvantage Platinum and AAdvantage Gold members, will receive unlimited complimentary upgrades for travel on any published fare on American Eagle nonstop flights between New York LaGuardia and Atlanta, Charlotte, Minneapolis or Toronto.

Finally, there’s this question posted over at Milepoint: When did American remove the AA logo swizzle stick from cocktails. So far, no responses.  I’ve searched Flyertalk, thinking that I was sure to find a “I want my swizzle stick back” rant, but no luck….perhaps it will just remain a mystery….

Good find re: the comp upgrades on select Eagle flights… I need to read FT & MP more frequently!

No problem if AA offers the pjs or not. I always take my BA SleepSuits along on long-hauls.
