American Airlines oneworld partner, Cathay Pacific is sponsoring a new twist on a bake-off with their new Facebook Art of Dessert contest.  Enter your own Asian-inspired dessert for a chance to win two Business Class tickets to Asia and have your dessert recipe featured in-flight.

Here’s how they describe it:

Imagine flying on Cathay Pacific and having your very own Asian-inspired dessert featured in-flight. Take your culinary genius to new heights – 30,000 feet in the air with our Facebook Art of Dessert Contest!

Submit your entry by November 16. “Like” your favorite dessert entries by November 19.

A panel of judges will select four finalist from the pool of sumissions using this criterea:

• Ease of Transformation to an in-flight Dessert (40%);
• Asian inspiration influence (20%);
• Creativity of Recipe (20%); and
• Public Appeal (20%)

Facebook members will have the opportunity weigh in and “like” their favorite entry.  Their votes will be used to determine Public Appeal.

A chef will prepare each dessert and judges panel will select the winner using this criteria:

•Ease of Transformation to an in-flight Dessert (40%);
•Asian inspiration influence (20%);
•Creativity of Recipe (20%); and
•Taste (20%)
